Laura Isensee is a storyteller, journalist and audio craft-maker. She strives to tell stories that shine a light on injustice and highlight diverse and marginalized perspectives and communities. Our goal in working together was to create a hub that showed the range of Laura’s work in a way that was visually dynamic and reflective of Laura’s personality. Laura wanted the website to both display the incredible journalistic work that she had done, and to position herself as the audio craft-maker and editor that she saw herself as in the future.
I did this by creating a series of bold, colorful graphics that sparked visual interest, but were placed in such a way that her work and words were still the stars of the website. I also created custom editorial illustrations for her portfolio page to create a sense of cohesion, personality, and professionalism reflective of her work.
