Laura Holway

Branding & Squarespace Design
Fall 2018, Ongoing

Laura Holway is a coach for creative folks in Minneapolis, MN. She uses embodiment practices, reflection exercises, and experimentation to hold space for her clients to grow into their goals. Our objective was to create a new brand and website for Laura that felt embodied, flexible, and feminine.

I began working with Laura in August of 2018 to re-brand her business. She needed an update that was truer to her evolving practices, and fit closer to her values. We collaborated closely to create a brand that felt embodied, feminine, and flexible. While ideating for this brand, I continually asked myself, “In how many different ways can a person get from point a to point b?” By keeping movement at the forefront of the process, I created a unique brand for Laura that was true to her business and herself.

Since then, we continue to collaborate regularly. I’ve done a complete website refresh for Laura’s new programming and designed print collateral (worksheets, workbooks, reflection planner) for her. I moved her from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1, and refreshed her brand in a way that feels more grounded and in line with her growth over the years.

Laura also hired me on to design her new Substack newsletter, Stay Soft.

I’ve collaborated with lots of different people in my business, and my work with Annie was by far the smoothest and most satisfying experience I’ve had yet. Every project draft showed me that she was listening and responding. She always took into account my vision and my business’ needs, but made it all look far better and more professional than I could have ever imagined.
